Bhumi's Yoga and Wellness Center offers Children's and Youth Yoga for Teens.

The Children's Class at Bhumi's Yoga and Wellness Center has been featured on "Ramona's Kids", a segment of Ch. 5 news on television.

We teach yoga/stress management classes to children and teens in the school system through:

  • Big Brothers and Big Sisters program
     
  • Magnificat High School.  In our seventh year, each junior takes 4 - 5 classes as a part of their requirements in the Physical Education Program.


 

  • HealthSpace Cleveland "Channel Stress! Handle It"  a day-long program with 15 Greater Cleveland High Schools offered each year.
     
  • Bay Village High School Freshmen

We have taught yoga classes for the teachers at:

  • Magnificat High School
  • Westlake High School

In addition, Harriet Russell (Bhumi), Director,  gives talks and lectures at local community meetings and events.

                      Children & Teen Yoga

CHILDREN'S YOGA (Ages 6 - 12 years old) A great way to improve self esteem, concentration, relationships, and motor skills as well as learn to honor the body. It is playful as well as educational! They apply yoga to school and home as well. Specialized classes for just this age group.

YOUTH YOGA FOR TEENS (Ages 13 - 18) A great way to reduce stress, balance hormonal changes, learn conscious communications, and build discipline in an atmosphere of self discovery and educational fun. Yoga helps reduce sports injuries and create concentration, clarity, and focus for studies. Specialized classes for just this age group are started at any time there is a group of ten students. Otherwise, teens are welcome to join in the regular adult classes. We offer a student discount for Teens.

We offer a special workshop for girls ages 11- 13 on "Women's Health" called Maidens Entering Menarche.
